Berwick Borough Archives Placement
This project is one of the first to be funded by Archives Revealed, supported by the National Archives and the Pilgrim Trust. Our project aims to re-catalogue and promote the historically significant Berwick Borough Archives which date from the 16th to 20th centuries. They tell the story of a very independent borough on the border with Scotland which has a unique history. This is an exciting project which wishes to bring the collection into the 21st century by creating an online electronic catalogue and also promoting it to a wider audience both in and beyond the local area.
